There is nothing like a homemade pecan pie especially when you know they are made with your own harvested pecans. There was a time pecans were a bargain. In 2012 prices rose to nearly $11.00 a pound leveling off since then to about $9.00 a pound.
We also enjoy year round Pecan Squares. We have had a big harvest over the last few years therefore, we have an ample supply of pecans on hand. I will make these then wrap them individually in plastic wrap. It makes it easy to pack on the go in a lunch or for a snack.
