Apple Pie

A popular, all-American classic. Nothing reminds me more of the holidays than a fresh-basked apple pie with fresh apples picked from my apple tree.
This is a great recipe, classic recipe. There are also some additional variations you can add to give the recipe a special twist of flavor.

Ingredients
- 2 pie crusts
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 6 or 7 apples cored and peeled
- 1/2 cup butter

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Mix cinnamon with sugar. Slice apples and mix with cinnamon-sugar. Pile into a pastry-lined pie pan, dot with butter and cover in slitted top crust.
- Bake 425 depress for 50 minutes.
- *If the apples are real juicy add 1 tbsp. of flour with sugar.

Variations
Mix apples with a combination of:
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup honey
½ cup raisins
½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Dot with butter and bake as above.
