Apple Pie

A popular, all-American classic. Nothing reminds me more of the holidays than a fresh-basked apple pie with fresh apples picked from my apple tree.

This is a great recipe, classic recipe. There are also some additional variations you can add to give the recipe a special twist of flavor.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix cinnamon with sugar. Slice apples and mix with cinnamon-sugar. Pile into a pastry-lined pie pan, dot with butter and cover in slitted top crust.
  3. Bake 425 depress for 50 minutes.
  4. *If the apples are real juicy add 1 tbsp. of flour with sugar.
Recipe Notes

Variations

Mix apples with a combination of:

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup honey

½ cup raisins

½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Dot with butter and bake as above.
